Quotes To Live By
Quote #138: Charles Levens
Hi, I'm Charles Levens, and I work for Midland County Community Corrections Pretrial Services. A quote that inspires me is "It Costs Zero Dollars to be nice." Now I have no idea if someone else has used this quote, but it just came to me one day after watching the news. I couldn't believe that I had just watched a half hour news cast, that just portrayed 30 minutes of doom and gloom. So now I use this quote all of the time.
The reason I find this quote so simple is that nowadays, everything costs money. But there is absolutely ZERO cost to just be nice to someone. If someone happens to be having a bad day, then hopefully a kind gesture or comment, will take that negativity away. If that person is already having a great day, then I just reinforced what they were already feeling. It's a win/win for everyone involved. This quote supports my wellbeing by hopefully providing a person in need, with just a little bit of hope or inspiration.
So, with no actual cost to being nice, why don't we do it more often? This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series.
