Quotes To Live By
Quote #65: Meghan Dahl
Hi, I'm Meghan Dahl, Licensed Master Social Worker, supervisor in Psychiatry and the Partial Hospitalization Program at MyMichigan Medical Center-Midland, and member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that is meaningful to me is "Perfect is the enemy of the good," commonly attributed to Voltaire. The reason I find this quote so meaningful is that it reminds me to let go of my perfectionism. Often I can get stuck in believing that what I'm trying to achieve needs to be the best it can be, but sometimes that gets in the way of just getting something done that is "good enough." This quote supports my wellbeing because it allows me to be human and to keep my self-expectations realistic. So, in what ways is being perfect getting in the way in your life, and where can you allow things to just be good? This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Life by Series. Thanks for joining me today!
