Quotes To Live By
Quote #105: Kathy Snyder
Hi, I'm Kathy Snyder, Director of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that is meaningful to me is "Leave everything a little bit better than you found it." by Robert Baden-Powell.
I like this quote because it reminds me that I have the power to make this world a better place, even through small gestures. Whether it's putting my dirty clothes in the hamper so my husband won't trip over them, picking up trash I see on the rail trail so the next person has a prettier walk, or tidying up the table after eating at a restaurant to make the staff's job easier, it reminds me that kindness comes in many forms. Everyday actions to ease someone else's load makes the world we all live in just a little bit better. It makes me feel good to do good and hopefully makes someone else's day better as well. While I can't say I do this all of the time, I do hear my mom's voice in my head reminding me of this quite often!
So, how might you leave something a little bit better than you found it today? This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series.
