Quotes To Live By
Quote #107: Erin Patrice
Hi, I'm Erin Patrice—the creator of The Breaking Bread Village, community advocate, Midland Area Cultural Awareness Coalition member, a servant on the Housing Commission, and member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that inspires me is, "Real happiness is cheap enough, yet how dearly we pay for its counterfeit," by Hosea Ballou.
The reason I find this quote so meaningful is that it’s always a reminder to have joy! It costs nothing, but living in negativity, constant sadness, and mediocre thoughts costs us everything. This quote encourages me to seek authentic happiness and let go of the things that weigh me down unnecessarily.
This quote supports my wellbeing by helping me focus on the simple, genuine joys in life rather than chasing after things that don’t truly fulfill me.
So, what small joys can you embrace today that don’t cost a thing?
This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series. Thank you for reading and sharing a little space with me.
