Quotes To Live By
Quote #183: Addison Duling
Hi, I'm Addison Duling from Dow High Student Leadership. A quote that inspires me is, "Success is not final; failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts," said by Winston S. Churchill.
The reason I find this quote so inspiring is because, throughout my life, I have had many successes and also many failures, but this quote means a lot to me because failure can feel awful. It can feel like you never want to try again at what you failed at, and you feel utterly defeated.
I love that it says failure is not fatal, meaning you aren't done or defeated just because you failed. I also like how it says, "success is not final," because even if you succeed, it won't always be like that. It wasn't until I realized I wouldn't ever reach success if I didn't work hard and have the courage to move forward after a failure. This quote supports my wellbeing because it is a reminder that failure leads to success, and that failure is a learning experience. You should always keep going afterward.
So, would you have ever succeeded if you had never been brave enough to move forward after failure?
