Quotes To Live By

Quote #204: Rose Jones

Hi, I'm Rose Jones, a mom and member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that is meaningful to me is, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping,'" said by Fred Rogers.

The reason I find this quote so meaningful is beyond my fangirl-ing of Mr. Rogers. I love that when the world looks overwhelmingly bad, there are usually people around who are shining light. It reminds me to always be on the lookout for the "helpers," and to be one of the "helpers" myself if at all possible. This quote supports my wellbeing by reminding me of optimism, even when I am overwhelmed with the bad.

So, are you looking for the helpers? Are you one of the helpers? This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series. Love, Rose.
