Quotes To Live By

Quote #215: Michelle Bahr

Hi, I'm Michelle Bahr, (a retired special education director and now a volunteer in our community, and a member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition.

The reason I find this quote impactful because it reminds us that everyone has a seat at our table. Everyone should be welcomed into our spaces. This is a reminder to connect with others, seek to understand the views of others, and to save that seat for someone -- you might just end up making a new friend and learning a new perspective.

This quote reminds me that there is joy in meeting others ... those who think like we do and those who do not. Together, we learn from each other.

So, take some time to learn from others, respect their views, feel comfortable enough to discuss differences, and most of all, be kind to all.

This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series.
