Do you ever feel like there’s not enough time in a day? How often do you take time in your day to just let your mind wander? Studies show that taking time out of our lives to just stop can be very beneficial to our mental and physical health. All around us it seems there is pressure to do something, be somewhere, get this done, do one more thing. This need for speed and to pack our days full isn’t good for us and can negatively impact our lives. When we can periodically take time to just stop, we can reduce our stress, increase our focus and engagement, and ultimately we can even improve our productivity. How? Start small – maybe taking just 30 seconds to focus on breathing. Do one thing at a time rather than trying to multitask. Put away the technology and head outside. Slow down and sometimes, just stop. It’s ok to hit the pause button and to stop and smell the roses sometimes!
