Life Hack #64: Create Micro-Moments of Connection

How often do you pay attention to the little moments in relationships? Have you ever heard the quote “Don’t sweat the small stuff?” While that may be true for some things, actually sweating the small stuff in relationships is more powerful than many of us realize. Creating micro-moments of connection has meaningful benefits, in addition to enhancing belonging, it also builds positive emotions and can even improve our health! Whether it is a warm greeting in the morning for a loved one or a genuine, connecting question for the convenience store attendant or sending a kind text message to a person you have not talked to in a while- all of these are micro-moments of connection. And they matter. Most relationships don’t end with a bang, they actually end with a whimper when we become more and disconnected in small compounding ways. One easy way to avoid that is to create micro-moments of connection in your life. It can not only keep or strengthen an existing relationship, it can make the day of a stranger. Small moments of connection matter so what will you do to turn toward a micro-moment of connection today?https://vimeo.com/809751329
