Life Hack #103: Engage with Nature

Have you ever felt that time in nature just makes everything seem a bit brighter, more peaceful, or just plain better? Have you found yourself invigorated by the crisp wind, a gorgeous sunrise, or a sunny day? Well, science backs up this feeling of wellbeing we get from nature. Research shows that being surrounded by nature not only lifts our spirits but also does wonders for our body and mind. It acts as a natural mood booster, reducing anxiety, improving memory, and making us more likely to connect and be kind to others. When we soak in nature scenes, it's like a distraction from the chaos, dialing down our pain and discomfort. What’s the secret to getting these amazing benefits? Figure out ways to engage your senses in nature! Take a stroll, breathe in the fresh air, soak in the beauty nature offers, listen to the sounds of nature around you. And if it’s too cold for your liking sometimes, either bundle up and get out there anyway (safely, of course!) or find ways to bring more nature into your home and life. Interestingly, we can still get some of the benefits of nature just by looking at natural images, bringing fresh flowers home, or focusing on the nature found in urban areas. Nature's got your back, and it can do wonders for your wellbeing.
