How often do you focus on the small stuff? If there was one small step you could take toward a bigger goal today, what would it be? Studies show that while traditional goals can be helpful, investing in small wins can be a better approach for most of us. Making small improvements consistently adds up to large changes over time. One way to approach this is to pay more attention to your daily choices. Is this next small action moving me 1% closer to who I want to be or is it taking me 1% further away? Think about it, if your goal was to prioritize your health, small actions that are easy and build on each other would be much more effective and sustainable than a crash diet or intense exercise plan that you give up on or never even really start. As James Clear said, “If you can get 1% better each day for one year, you’ll end up 37 times better by the time you’re done.” Recognizing and accepting that some days we won’t make progress and that’s ok, be sure to invest in those small wins!
