Quote #25: DeLois Leapheart

I'm DeLois T. Leapheart, President & CEO of a local non-profit called Adoption Option Inc, member of the faculty at Northwood University and member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that is meaningful to me is by Greg Anderson:
“Wellness seeks more than the absence of illness; it searches for new levels of excellence. Beyond any disease-free neutral point, wellness dedicates its efforts to our total well-being – in body, mind, and spirit.” The reason I find this quote helpful is that it reminds me of the importance of focusing on more than just surviving, but instead working towards Thriving. Thriving can be described as Living in the space that is North of Neutral. This quote supports my wellbeing because it supports my wellbeing by reminding me to work on my body, mind and spirit.
