Quotes To Live By
Quote #1: featuring Melissa Ladd Patnode
Hi, I'm Melissa Ladd Patnode, 211 Program Supervisor from Central Michigan 211 and LifeWays and member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that is meaningful to me is "A man on the beach where thousands of starfish lay dying in the sun saw a girl tossing them into the sea, one by one. "Why bother?" he asked. "You won't make much a difference." Tossing yet another starfish into the sea, the girl said, "I made a difference to that one." -Loren Eisley ". The reason I find this quote so meaningful is it reminds me to slow down and not just look at the systematic impact but the individual impact of our work. This quote supports my wellbeing because/through/by remind me to slow down. So, think about how you can make a difference in at least one person's life. This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series. Thank you for watching/reading/listening.
