Quotes To Live By

Quote #179: Kate McLachlan

Hi, my name is Kate MacLachlan from H.H. Dow High Leadership. I have been part of a leadership or student council group for 4 years, and I have also been a part of the Midland Figure Skating Club for 12 years. A quote that I try to live by is, "Don't wish for it, work for it."

This is important to me because of my experience with sports. I always try to better myself and set goals for myself, but sometimes it is hard to actually put the work in. Instead of just wishing I was better at something or had a new skill, I remind myself that nothing will change if nothing changes. You can't just wait around for something to happen if you don't deliberately work towards achieving your goal.

So, will you just continue wishing for things to happen to you, or will you put in the effort? This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition's Quotes to Live By Series. Take care!
