Hi, I'm Emilia, a student at Dow High School Student Leadership. A quote that inspires me is, "A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not in the branch, but in its own wings. Always believe in yourself."

The reason I find this quote so inspiring is because sometimes I find it easy to doubt my abilities, especially with running. This quote reminds me to take risks, be confident, and remember how capable I am. I found this quote at the beginning of freshman year, before my first season of high school cross country, and it's always stuck with me!
