Quotes To Live By
Hi, I'm Kathy Dollard, Director of Behavioral Health at MyMichigan Health and member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition. A quote that is meaningful to me is "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better", said by Maya Angelou. The reason I find this quote so meaningful is because we all have regrets in life where we wished we, or someone else, might have done something differently. However, we can forgive ourselves and others by remembering that we are always evolving. While our old selves made mistakes, we might have been operating with good intent but outdated ideas. We can learn and change. This quote supports my wellbeing by keeping me in a growth mindset where failures are seen as opportunities to learn and grow. So, are there situations where you need to let go of the past, knowing that you did the best you could at the time? Now that you know better, are you doing better?
