Quotes To Live By

Quote #216: Danielle Meeder

Hi, I’m Danielle Meeder, an account manager at HES and member of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition.

A quote that is meaningful to me is, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans,” said by John Lennon.

The reason I find this quote so impactful is the gentle reminder to slow down and be present. It’s so easy to get caught up in what’s coming next—the next goal, the next project, the next milestone, or your next chore—and forget to appreciate what’s happening right in front of us. Some of the best parts of life happen in the everyday moments we never planned for!

This quote supports my wellbeing by reminding me to be present, appreciate the people, places, and moments around me, and not get so caught up in thinking about what’s next that I miss what’s happening right now.

What’s one moment you can slow down and appreciate today?

This has been brought to you by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition’s Quotes to Live By Series.
