Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition Teaches Positive Psychology

Kathy Snyder, director of the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition, emphasizes the importance of positive psychology in helping individuals flourish. The Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition is dedicated to enhancing community wellbeing by teaching positive psychology principles. Their programs focus on the PERMAH framework, which includes Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment, and Health. They offer free monthly online "Power Half Hour" sessions and quarterly Wellbeing Certificate trainings. The Coalition began as a task force in 2018 and became an official organization in June 2020.
