Midland Launches Go Gold 2026 Wellness Challenge
Midland’s “Go Gold 2026” wellness initiative kicks off with a community walk on Monday, February 2 at noon at The Tridge, encouraging residents of all ages and abilities to stay active and connected throughout February – traditionally one of the toughest months for maintaining healthy habits.
Organized by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition in partnership with Health Enhancement Systems, Go Gold builds on last year’s successful Walktober challenge and community feedback identifying physical health as a top priority. Participants are invited to walk local trails, join fitness classes, family programs, or simply move more intentionally in ways that work for them. Registration runs from January 9 through February 9 at the Midland Area Wellbeing website.
To help residents prepare, Go Gold includes a free virtual “Power Half Hour” workshop on January 21 focused on boosting joy and energy, plus a one‑day Midland Wellbeing Certificate event on January 26 at the Chippewa Nature Center featuring practical tools for sustainable wellness. Full details are available on the community calendar.
